Delete your data
You're always in control of your Marquee data. Here's how to delete it — either your whole account, or just parts of it — and exactly what's removed.
Delete your account (removes your personal data)
- Open Marquee (the app or marqueemovie.app).
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account (near the bottom) and confirm.
This permanently and immediately deletes your account — your email, name, and login. You're removed from your household, and if you're its only member, the household's watchlist is deleted too. This can't be undone.
Delete only some of your data (keep your account)
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data:
- Remove titles: delete any movie or show from your list at any time (its ratings and watch progress go with it).
- Clear ratings / watched status: unrate or un-mark any title from its detail view.
- Leave a household: in Settings, leave your shared household to detach your data from it.
What's deleted vs. kept
- Deleted: your account (email, name, sign-in), your ratings and watched/seen history, and your household's shared watchlist if you're the last member.
- Kept: if other people remain in your household, the shared watchlist stays for them. Anonymous, non-identifying diagnostic logs (no email or name) may persist briefly and are automatically pruned.
Can't access the app?
Email privacy@marqueemovie.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
